Link Buildings Across A Site. Create an outdoor wireless path where laying interbuilding cable is impractical. The manufacturer rates bridge reach up to 5 km; plan each link around a clear path and local conditions.
Carry Camera Traffic With Headroom. Three Gigabit ports support flexible wired connections at the bridge location. Use the manufacturer’s distance-based bridge performance figures when planning camera bandwidth, since the 867 Mbps radio rate is not application throughput.
Keep Distributed Links Manageable. TDMA, VLAN support, alignment tools and spectrum scanning help structure a deployment. Local web access and Lysora Cloud provide ways to configure the bridge and check its status.
Installation And Power
- Plan the link with a clear line of sight and suitable clearance. Site conditions affect achievable range.
- Mount on a suitable wall or pole and use the antenna alignment and spectrum tools during setup.
- Wireless link rates are physical-layer maxima. Real throughput depends on range, channel width, interference, alignment and network load.
- Check the power source and connected device requirements before connecting passive PoE equipment.
